Composite insulator is also known as synthetic insulator, its main structure is composed of umbrella skirt sheath, epoxy glass fiber (FRP) mandrel and end hardware three parts. Among them, the umbrella skirt sheath is made of high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber, FRP core rod is glass fiber reinforced material and epoxy resin matrix FRP composite material, and the end fittings are carbon cast steel or carbon structural steel coated with hot dip galvanized layer on the outer surface.
